Hi there & welcome to BdaKiNE.com!
One of my besties took me to Pinot’s Palette and even though I have trouble drawing stick figures, I do like to drink wine so I figured, what the heck, I will give it a try. Well, I ended up having MUCH more fun than I thought I would.
I don’t know why I thought it was going to be a “paint by numbers” kind of thing but it wasn’t which actually gave me a sense of accomplishment. I use so much of my left brain that it was good to give my right brain some exercise. Part of the joy is that it takes you back to memories of your childhood when you loved nothing more than drawing, coloring and painting. Who didn’t look forward to recess and art class?
The major plus side is that it’s so easy – everything that you need is at your work station and when you’re finished, you just leave – no messes to have to clean up! The instructors are incredibly sweet and patient and I was amazed by the simple instructions that made it possible for even someone like me to end up with a painting that resembled the one we were recreating.
The food and drink service was also exceptional. All you had to do was literally look towards the bartender and your glass was refilled immediately. At the Liberty Station location in San Diego, the food is catered by Solare Restaurante next door so you know everything will be great. The menu consists of appetizers, pizza, dessert, beer, wine, coffee, water and soft drinks. We tried a little bit of everything and loved it all.
I know it sounds like a “chick” kind of thing to do (and it is mostly women) but there were definitely men there and they seemed to have a good time as well. I haven’t been back yet but I am planning on going again, this time with one of my besties who is an art history professor and will surely give us even more helpful tips.
Thank you for visiting BdaKiNE.com & have a grateful day!
